Scientists Develop Test for Organic Food

By developing a test to detect for signs of synthetic nitrogen fertilizers, a group of British scientists say they can help verify that produce has been farmed organically, or spot conventionally grown food that is fraudulently labeled.

I cannot believe that we have come to fraudulent organic produce.  The whole process is built on integrity.  But saying that, it is the way of the world.

As long as this type of testing does not raise the cost of organic food, I am all in favor of revealing frauds.
