Donate/Recycle: Some local Goodwills train workers to refurbish and de-manufacture equipment and resell systems and components. Find out what types of electronic equipment may be donated at your local Goodwill.
Recycle: Visit Electronics Take BackCoalition to find out if your computer maker or retailer provides a recycling program. Many companies do. For example, with Hewlitt Packard's Trade-In program, you can get cash back for upgrading to a new HP if you send your old machine back to HP for in-house recycling. Apple also offers free take-back and recycling of your old computer and monitor, regardless of manufacturer, when you purchase a new Mac.
My daughter had this leap pad-like toy that has computer components in it, so I don't want to just throw it away. Does anyone know if I could just take that to a battery recycling center, or what should I do with the thing?!?!?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
Thanks!
