Boston Restaurants Strive for Certified Green Eats

As restaurateurs begin to recognize their environmental impact, a handful of eateries in Boston and across the nation are gaining green certifications that commit them to policies such as recycling waste, sourcing local foods, and energy conservation.

I would love to have restaurants advertise their green certification.  We all try and do what we can and spending money at green restaurants would help.  I think about how much we all eat out and why not do something positive while still haveing a great meal.

most do have a seal to show their certification but i think thats as far as its gone.

I was reading that it is really hard to sanitize a commercial kitchen with organic products.  Restaurants seem to be having trouble in that area.
