Just as Brazilian ethanol production could potentially lead to widespread destruction of its rainforests, the natural habitats of Southeast Asia are threatened by the farming of palm oil for biodiesel.

The answer to finding green alternatives is not in burning down forests.  I think that everyone would agree that it is defeating the purpose.  The end cannot always justify the means.  We need to try harder.
