The key to children eating healthy is not to ban McDonalds, but to ban parents from taking their children there in the first place.  Saying that, it is not so easy to do when you are running late, swamped with chores, homework is late etc.  Parents worldwide are trying to make better choices for their children and in all fairness so is McDonalds and many of the other fast food chains.  Many have cooperated with the new law banning transfats and are offering healthier choices for those inclined.  I think his thinking is a royal pain in the @@@####.
