Good fit

As long as the stores stay the same and provide the same quality, I don't necessarily see a problem.  I do hope that Whole Foods will always be a place where you can expect the same quality of service it has always provided.  I always get leary of corporations when they become huge.  Right now you feel like you are in a store that provides attention to their shoppers.  I used to shop at Wild Oats before we got a Whole Foods and liked the store as well.  Good fit.

Wow. Big organic news

Thats big news for the organic world to have Whole Foods buying out wild oats.  I have read many articles about John Mackey and have always liked and trusted him as a CEO and leader in the field.  I guess it would not be the best idea for someone to want to start up an organic foods market chain with that Juggernaut.  I also get a little leary of corporations when they become huge, but hopefully they will continue to maintain the high quality of products, service  and very nice locations.  Who knows,  maybe they will spearhead a more ethical corporate model that helps everyone win.

healthy company

It's hard to imagine a time when there were no Whole Food Markets or natural food stores.  It is so wonderful that good, healthy food and products are available just everywhere now and to everyone.  Whole Food's philosophy is an admirable one and I know that the people who work there are inspired and encouraged to succeed.  The ones I have spoken with only have great things to say about the company and the incentives it provides.  I do hope you are right and other companies pick up on the model they are using.  It seems that not only do they sell healthy food but are a healthy company as well.
