Victoria Beckham Gets Naked for a Cause
Posted by Suzy Byrne on January 31, 2008 - 1:00pm.

Though not a personal dream of mine, some of you out there wouldn't mind seeing Victoria Beckham naked. Whelp, it's your lucky day.

David Beckham's fair lady, who's been traveling the world touring with the Spice Girls, stripped down to what God gave her (well, with a few cosmetic enhancements) for designer Marc Jacobs. Victoria appears nude — with strategically placed hands and a little extra coverage from letters — on a special-edition Marc Jacobs t-shirt — with proceeds going to the Interdisciplinary Melanoma Cooperative Group at New York University — that's available for the bargain price of $35.

"Since we moved to California I have realized how important it is to practice safe sun for myself and to keep my three boys skin well protected as well," Katie Holmes's BFF said in a statement. "Skin cancer is a huge problem and I really wanted to help raise awareness by taking part in Marc's initiative."

Not to be outdone, Madonna is throwing a bash at the UN next week to raise money for UNICEF and Malawi, the nation where she found and later adopted her son David. Expected to attend are Sarah Jessica Parker, Salma Hayek, Demi Moore, Ashton Kutcher and Gwyneth Paltrow. The event is sponsored by Gucci, so the A-listers will probably walk out of there with some swanky swag.

Gwyneth was in the news last week because she was hospitalized at New York City's Mt. Sinai hospital. Don't worry about sending a "Get Well Soon" card — she's already on the mend from what her chef-pal Mario Batali described as a gastrointestinal problem. (I'm sure she was like: "Thanks, Mario!") But shortly after checking into the hospital for an overnight stay, Us magazine reports that a bag for "Gwyneth Martin" arrived from NYC organic home supply store Organic Avenue. See — Gwynnie can't live without her organics either!

Sundance Film Festival 2008 is now just a memory, but there are some green memories to speak of. At The Giving Suite, an eco-boutique, getting freebies was out and giving was in. Stars like Sharon Stone visited the suite and made purchases to benefit charity. What did she buy? Pillows, a carpet handmade from alpaca and a RE:VOLVE organic cotton tee emblazoned with the word “Patriotic." I'm sure we'll see it when she's out stumping for the Democratic candidate of her choice.

Lastly, also at Sundance, Adrian Grenier was promoting the new Discovery channel series The Green Life — when he wasn't snowboarding. The show's concept is to illustrate how making small changes in everyday living can be cool, simple and helpful to our planet. Adrian will be producing the project and, let's hope, making some appearances in it to really make it stick in viewer's minds. If he's on it, I'm watching it. You?

Noble cause but...

It's a noble cause to want to promote awareness about protecting the largest organ we have. However, she could at least put on a somewhat softer expression on her face. To be a bit more positive about the message. She looks like she's being forced against her will into posing for this noble gig...

Posh's Smile
by Suzy_Byrne on February 1, 2008 - 6:16pm

Victoria once joked to Ryan Seacrest that people dressing up as Posh Spice for Halloween (are there that many??) should "not smile a lot" and "look really miserable."

The truth is, Posh hates smiling! So whenever she's posing she uses her "photo face," which is really pretty scary. Methinks that too much botox has frozen her face and  prevents her from really showing her pearly whites.

Oh, that's why she has that expression on her face, she hates to smile. Or as you say, maybe too much botox? Well, I have to say... her face is so smooth, no lines at all!
