Green Hollywood Goes to Vegas, Baby!
Posted by susan hornik on September 17, 2008 - 7:43am.
Surprisingly, there’s a lot to do in Vegas that’s green friendly. If you are in desperate need of some relaxation after losing your other greenstuff, then check out the Canyon Ranch SpaClub at the Venetian. I had too much fun experiencing the Espresso Body Thermal, which uses Naturopathicas Organic Black Espresso Mud (a detox treatment rich in phytochemicals) and Deep Forest Oil.

If your feet hurt from walking, the SpaClub is also bringing aboard a new custom-blend Organic Pedicure, which utilizes nothing but vegan products. Paris Hilton filmed her reality series, “Paris’ BFF” in their Palazzo salon.

Just Leave Altogether!
Sometimes the ka-ching of slot machines may have wedged a small hole in your ears, in which case I’d recommend the Las Vegas Springs Preserve. This eco-friendly attraction teaches visitors about the environment and the importance of conservation.

Ed Begley, Jr. will be at Springs Preserve hosting a Bicycles-As-Transportation event on September 25.

How to Hold on to Your Money
What’s the secret to escaping the craps table? See a Vegas show! I loved seeing Cirque du Soleil: Love — a musical celebration of the Beatles. Last year, Cirque du Soleil founder Guy Laliberté launched the One Drop Foundation to fight poverty in the world by giving everyone access to water. Over a billion people do not have access to water in sufficient quantity or adequate quality.

Britney Spears recently attended a performance with her celebrity hairstylist, Kim Vo, and a few friends. Spears requested a hot dog to eat during the show (probably not organic).
