Book publisher Scholastic has announced that famed author J.K. Rowling's next Harry Potter book will be published under the watchful gaze of the Forest Stewardship Council. This process ensures that each copy of the book will be made from a minimum of 30% post-consumer waste paper, meaning that if it sells the way it's expected to, the book will wipe out only 95% of the planet's remaining trees.

Actor and brother of Ben, Casey Affleck recently released a PSA for PETA, but several television networks are refusing to air the ad on the grounds that it's too graphic. Apparently, the video shows a machine doing to a pig what J. Lo did to Ben's heart.

This week President George W. Bush voiced excitement over American production of alternative fuel vehicles, saying, "Texans like pick-up trucks... and it makes sense to have these technologies fit in the kind of trucks people like to drive." In other news, a Louisville man won a bet that George Bush could not go five days without making an unnecessary and somewhat nonsensical reference to Texas.

The last time that many musicians were associated with a single entity, a groupie got a book deal.

Leonardo DiCaprio's name has become so synonymous with environmental activism that Israeli Vice Premier Shimon Peres requested a meeting with the actor to try to get him involved with other admirable causes. DiCaprio promised to help out in any way he can, thus posing a legitimate threat to most-active-celeb-do-gooder, Angelina Jolie.
