The Green Room: Sting's Secret at Home
Posted by Joshua W. Jackson on March 16, 2007 - 7:23am.

Sting and wife Trudie Styler are no strangers to the environmental movement, but Trudie may be parting with her eco-friendly ways. Recently, it's been reported that Styler avoided a hybrid car or a train, and took a helicopter to a friend's place, only 80 miles away. When environmentalists heard of the news, they discussed boycotting the next crappy animated movie that Sting writes a song for.

The famous Los Angeles classic rock radio station KROQ is holding a benefit concert for Heal the Bay, and Bad Religion will headline. Supporting acts include Tiger Army and The Briggs. The event is scheduled for April 6, and will last long into the night, unless, of course, the bay is pretty much healed by early evening.

Hollywood star Jennifer Garner recently revealed that since she's become a mother she finds herself crying more often, especially about topics such as global warming, which have always worried her, but now seem to have more "urgency about them." Sources say Garner's current disposition is still much preferred to that of when she was pregnant, when the list of topics that made her cry extended to long lines at Starbucks and being part of something called Bennifer 2.

Everybody's favorite organic farmer Liz Hurley enjoyed a traditional Indian wedding over the weekend. The ceremony took place in Jodhpur and involved white horses, elephants, conch shell blowing, and Hurley's bare flesh being decorated with henna. All in all, the whole weekend was remarkably similar to the average American male's regular Tuesday night dream.

Scandal surrounds Madonna after she took a car ride with her 17-month old baby on her lap with no seat belt or car seat. The most shocking behavior is not what happened within the car, however, but that it was, in fact, an enormous SUV. Analysts believe Madonna figured that if there was an accident, the child would be too delirious from the vehicle's toxic fumes to feel any pain.

What?

Don't pick on Sting & Trudie for a hellocopter ride! What about the rainforest foundation!? Charity work!? I can think of a lot worse offenders of the environment than them. Look at the big picture! Come on.

the color of money

I agree, lets not get too picky.  I wonder if the Police Concerts scheduled for the summer are going to be green, (except for the color of money).

I like your sense of humor Joshua. Hey, are you the actor Joshua Jackson from Dawson's Creek? ;)

hard on celebs

Why are we so hard on celebs? Why do we expect them to care more about the environment than middle america?

the cruelest cut is the closest

Josh is hard on celebs because he is, in fact, the former star of Dawson's Creek, and he's mad that Trudie and Bennifer and Leo DiCaprio are getting all the good press for going green while he's stuck sitting around in his not-organic cotton underpants eating not-organic cheetos and waiting for DC residual checks and reading scripts that will go absolutely nowhere, NOWHERE, and the only green he sees is envy. Pity him, people, but do not scorn him.

green money pit

You not only can write witty blogs,  but seem to have quite the sense of humor as well.  By the way, I just saw a preview for a movie that is coming out that seems to mimick your life.  It's about buying a palce that is a money pit. At least yours will be green!
