Along with several other celebs, Alicia Silverstone has spoken up, telling the media that she loves living an environmentally-friendly lifestyle. Silverstone (who drives a hybrid, uses energy efficient appliances, and has solar panels on the roof of her home) said, "I love living this way. It's so satisfying and inspiring." Sources close to the actress say that spending the last twelve years creating nothing but garbage in her professional life has only strengthened Alicia's commitment to green in her personal life.
Ed Norton, poster boy for BP's Solar Neighbors program, apparently isn't satisfied by his alternative energy efforts alone. The actor may literally turn himself green by taking on the role of the Incredible Hulk in a sequel to the flop that came out four years ago. Hollywood studios hope the award-winning actor will be able to single-handedly save the potential franchise, but some say there are better odds on him being able to single-handedly save the planet.
At this point most Americans have become aware of the need to conserve natural resources, and Lindsay Lohan has once again proven that she is not most Americans. The pop twinkie apparently left the water in her bathtub running and vacated the premises, wasting countless gallons of water and causing more than a hundred thousand dollars in property damage. When asked to comment, Lohan was too busy ignoring other environmental concerns to respond.
After months of waiting and a faux-scandal, Al Gore's Tennessee home finally has permission from the local government to utilize solar panels. Unfortunately, experts say there's no way that Gore's panels could generate enough electricity to offset the mental energy wasted by anti-environmentalists who raised the brouhaha in the first place.
Having completed her Stop Global Warming college tour with Laurie David, Sheryl Crow is scheduled to appear on Oprah on Friday and on "The Today Show" over the weekend. If you'd like to see more of Crow, judging from previous reports, the rockstar will also continue to appear in the fantasies of college boys all semester long.
