Gmark's take: Not Living the Change

OK, this one is a gimme. I know I'm not living the change. But if I started out with something healthy, what would be the fun of that? The whole point is to improve myself, so I might as well begin with a meal that can only lead to improvement. On the plus side, they tell me that a tuna melt can indeed be healthy... guess I should have ordered one of those.

Here are the melting points of various elements:

  • Gold: 1948° F
  • Oxygen: -361° F
  • Tuna: Appx 450° F for 5 minutes

Also, note the Miss Vickie's potato chips. From the packaging I can only assume that it comes from some small, family-owned maker of chips, with a French heritage (freedom chips!). I'm guessing that means it can't be too bad... what's that you say? A product of the Frito-Lay Corporation? I've been punk'd by the world's largest maker of snack foods!

WOW -- is that what they were trying to teach me in the 6th grade on the periodic table about tuna melt -- I never actually ate Tuna Melt in my life.  The thought of hot tuna -- it took me awhile to eat tuna fish sandwich -- Marianne Scott

First - you're making me hungry and I've never even had a tuna melt...but I hear that Mulligan's (yes, Mulligan's) has one of the best in the city. So - tuna - healthy. Cheese - healthy - calcium, potassium, phosphorus, protein, Vitamins D, A, B12, niacin and riboflavin - which converts the tuna melt into energy...then finally, bread - this can go both ways depending on what kind. Can't tell your type from the photo - those yummy, buttery seared marks are blocking my view...

The bread was really good. I don't know what kind (or how healthy) it was, but a lot better than those nasty paninis that line NYC deli counters these days.
