Sending Out an SOS

What happens to the information we send out over the Internet? Other than, of course, the government laying claim to it.

If you believe you have a hand in creating your own reality, you know that energy follows thought. So then, what happens to the energy behind the myriad thoughts and ideas we send swirling out into the ethers via the Internet? If there is intelligent life on other planets (and we have to assume there is) and they are picking up our messages, their heads (or wherever they carry their thought-processing units, a.k.a. brains) must be spinning. For example, if their physical form is very different from ours, or they have different climactic demands, they may have no clue as to the function of clothes. Surely they understand something about our habits, but they must puzzle over mysteries like how True Religion denim is related to church. And do those silly humans rub fruits all over their bodies when they wear something Juicy?

If they have more sophisticated communications, they probably can't imagine why we have seemingly important people on television shows (also likely hurtling through the cosmos) touting their own virtues and dumping on each other, not to mention total bewilderment at our fighting and killing each other. What's wrong with these Earthlings that they don't all just cooperate?

Or can you imagine being an alien and tuning in to Twitter? What if that's the only Earth-site they pick up? A sobering thought.

A few weeks ago I blogged about visitations from my father after his passing. In that post, I mentioned having invited him to visit me again, but doubting it would happen after decades of absence. Much to my astonishment, not only did my dad visit, but he came with my mother — the first time they've ever come together from the other side — and frankly, I was terrified. So much so that I wouldn't let them talk until we'd had a chance to reconnect. Big mistake! You can guess the rest: I woke up before getting the message and waited all day for the shoe to drop. So far, no bad news, I'm happy to report. No real news of any kind, so maybe it was just a social call.

But getting back to my earlier question, is it possible that when I put the invitation out over the Internet, it broadcasts beyond the cosmos (wherever that may be) to wherever our spirits go when they leave our bodies? Does writing something online amplify its power? If so, maybe we all should be blogging about peace, health and prosperity for all.

So here it is, just in case. I'm officially inviting peace, health and prosperity to infuse the hearts of all on this planet and beyond!

And you out there in the vast universe? If you can help us along, we can use all the help we can get.

A few months ago I read an article about monks that were meditating and praying online for world peace. I couldn't find the link to it just now, but there are people praying for world peace through the ether of the internet!

I couldn't find it either, but it was encouraging that a Google search under "pray for peace" brought up 582,000 entries. My favorite was the one that says, "To encourage more people to pray more frequently for peace, I intend to walk from New York City to Chicago and attend a major league baseball game in every ballpark along the way."
