Lift Without Nip

For weeks, the acupuncture patient who finished before my appointment would emerge from his session bright eyed and glowing. This guy seemed to be permanently dewy — with clear, healthy skin free from laugh lines and furrow marks. I finally asked my acupuncturist what kind of treatment this smooth-skinned gentleman was receiving. In an excited whisper he said, "facial rejuvenation — it's amazing."

Following the tenets of acupuncture, facial rejuvenation or facial acupuncture uses tiny needles to stimulate meridian points on the body that connect to the face or to activate points that are actually on the face. The procedure is fairly painless — patients may feel a quick sharp sensation as energy blockages are released — and can bring about dramatic results. Regular treatments can completely eliminate fine lines and reduce deeper wrinkles. Facial rejuvenation is also used to reduce puffiness under the eyes, firm jowls, lift droopy eyelids, and tighten double chins.

Consistent treatment can also lead to long-term health and beauty of the skin by increasing collagen production and muscle tone, tightening pores, and reducing acne (through hormone regulation). All of this with no surgery, massive medical bills, and painful recovery — it's enough to put Dr. 90210 out of business.

Can you get this done at any place that does acupuncture, and how much do they run? Can't wait to try if reasonable.

I get regular acupuncture and have heard about the facelift or rejuvenation process for several years now. The great thing about it is that you're benefiting spirit, mind and the ENTIRE body...not, just the face. This approach treats everything holistically. I've found a ripple effect of benefits felt long after my sessions, especially in the area of well-being. No, I don't have a vested interested in this...I just know it works wonders for me. I plan on trying the facial rejuvenation soon. Every accupuncturist is different in their technique and, in how comfortable you are with them so ask if you can have a consult first. Pricing is also varied. Call around.

I am an acupuncturist who specializes in Cosmetic Acupuncture. Since each person is different, results obviously tend to vary. What is consistent, however, is that almost everyone looks AND feels better after as few as 1 to 3 treatments. Depending on each person's skin condition, diet, level of exercise & sleep, etc., significant plumping of fine lines, lifting of sagging skin & jowls, and overall improvement of skin color and texture is almost assured after a series of 1-6 sessions. Effects are cumulative and lasting, if done within a couple weeks of each other initially (i.e. 1 treatment every 3-10 days). I charge $120 per session, which lasts approximately 1 hour. I am located in Edwards, Colorado, just outside of Vail. Please feel free to email me with any questions @ kelliekrasovec@centurytel.net.
