How does one conquer an eating disorder? Deepak explains that people with eating disorders usually have a poor self-image. They see themselves as unlovable and unattractive. To combat this illusion, he suggests practicing the “mirror technique” where one can look at oneself in the mirror and say “I am beautiful, I love myself, and thank you God for making me exactly how I am”.

Yeah, shallow much?

Okay, both of the people they show in the video are beautiful. I was just thinking that they shouldn't have used them because they DON'T look average and someone with an ED would just say "I'm not as beautiful as she is, so I'm NOT beautiful."

I am shocked at what people have written here! For gods sake when will people wake up and see that beauty is on the inside, it doesnt matter what other people think of you. Its what you think of yourself! Who ever wrote, shes not beautiful, how shallow can you be!! No wonder the world is full of prejudice with such prehistoric views!! What a tradjic life people must lead! You cant control your environment you can only control how you react to it, telling yourself that you are beautiful is better than mindlessly following an illusion of beauty that the media portrays and waking up hating yourself. Wake Up its 2006!! Be happy and love yourself. This little clip was short and sweet but holds volumes in wisdom. Well done Lime!

Love Yourself

This is an important message and would benefit most of us. In this hustle bustle society we forget to connect to inner selves. This message from Deepak tries to get to the root of the eating disorder problem in a short clip. And the message is to love ourselves. And what's so wrong with that?
