I may have to think about his message more.  It seems so simple. Since Valentine's Day is coming up, it makes me think about my husband and myself.  Interesting point about denying the traits in yourself.

Absolutely true in my experience.  The hardest part is to be brutally honest with yourself.  Once you accept the 'disliked' trait in yourself(that you've been spending so much energy to keep out of your conscious awareness), that person will not bother you as much.

I agree with the whole theory that we are attracted to others who embody traits we want more of, and are repelled by others who embody traits we find objectionable and deny in ourselves.  This emphasizes the importance of really taking the time and getting to know yourself and understand what you want out of situations.  Thanks for the great post
