It matters not a bit what this man and others say about buddhism since he declares himself to be one. However, how can one who is not of God, who does not know that all men are condemned under sin and there is no other way to salvation but through Jesus Christ, talk about what Jesus said as if he knows it all? He may say that the Christ Jesus is a maniac in saying that he is the Son of God, but let this man not dilute and divert what it is to be a Christian!!

What Mr. Thurman says about the good of all religions and doing what's right is right on. It is what the philosopher's called, "prima facie" knowledge, i.e. what we all know spiritually and intrinsically. Or, as Prot from K-PAX said, "every being in the universe knows right from wrong." And, if you were to study the ancient texts and read the various interpretations and versions and some of the thousands of translations of the "bible" from the last 1,800 years, you would know that Jesus believed in an open tent and had open arms. Modern Christianity has veered far, far from Jesus' words. What - sadly - most good, well meaning Christians "think" are the words of Jesus are merely just certain variations and translations of some of the many wise, wonderful things he said. Lastly, modern Christianity has veered off path, because most modern Christian "wisdom" emanates from the modern so called bible that is Matthew Mark Luke & John. These are the gospels that were officially "ordered" as the right path by the Roman Emporer Constantine (who wasn't even Christian but would become Christian many years later), in the year 326, to bring order to Roman society which was in disarray and decline owed largely to religious fractioning. Study the history and ALL the writings of ALL gospels...and then you'll have some better insight into Jesus, Buddhism, etc.
