Astrology is booming. As a semi-believer––along with about 40 percent of the U.S. population––I’m often directing people to my favorite astrology resources. Herewith, a compendium of beloved sites and books for your starry research.
Websites
1) Astro.com Hands down my favorite site for all things astrological. You can enter your birth information and quickly get a free chart wheel that includes all of your planetary aspects. Meaning, if someone asks you what your rising sign is you won’t have to resort to a derisive smirk. You can say “Aquarius” loud and proud. The site also gives you a free mini reading of your chart plus mini relationship readings. And, also free, is a daily horoscope based on your actual birthdate. Some days it’s hugely inaccurate, but others it’s damn spooky. And it’s always specific.
2) AstrologyZone.com Susan Miller, as her legions of fans know, is a true authority. Her in-depth, free, sprawling monthly horoscopes for each sun sign are eerily accurate almost all of the time. She clearly cares; her messages––especially when she’s got some rough news––are always guided by compassion. Knowing that sun signs don’t paint the whole picture, she urges users to also read their rising signs (see astro.com yours) each month.
3) FreeWillAstrology.com As any reader of an alternative weekly knows, Rob Breszny is more than an astrologer. He’s also a mystic, shrink, jester, and poet. This week he tosses out doozies like, “I think that you yourself have the potential of getting intimate with a snake god or snake goddess in the coming weeks,” and quotes Jung: “People will do anything, no matter how absurd, in order to avoid facing their own soul.”
Books
1) Linda Goodman’s Love Signs by Linda Goodman This doorstopper-sized tome is the go-to guide for anyone with love problems or questions. It predicted that my friend Derek would indeed marry his girlfriend Darcy (Librans tend to marry those who share the first letter of their first name); it taught a Scorpio why things were so intense with her Scorpio boyfriend (both are ruled by Mars the god of war); and I’ve had myriad revelations about my own Aries fire-seeking nature. It’s also an entertaining treatise teeming with wisdom and wit.
2) The Only Astrology Book You’ll Ever Need by Joanna Martine Woolfolk Not true, but close. Once you get all your info from Astro.com come here and see what it all means. This is a great jumping off point for delving deeper, despite a few mean-spirited comments disguised as commentary. The new update released last month, though, will meet many of your novice and advanced astro needs.
3) Heaven on Earth; An Astrological Entertainment with Slides, Wheels, and Changing Pictures by Fritz Wegner A fun illustrated book for grownups from 1992, this is the kind of lavish pop-up style book that would have a hard time getting published these days. If you can find a copy, cherish its smarts, whimsy, and insight and never let it go.

Whether you believe in it or not, it’s always entertaining. I’ve been a fan of Susan Miller for years… Looking forward to checking out astro.com.
She is definitely the best. But astro.com is pretty neat, too.
I found this a couple years ago and things have become more manageable as I’ve learned to read and interpret the horoscopes and have learned how my chart influences everything.
It is amazing that something this awesome has so much free information on its site.
