Spirituality Helps Cancer Patients Navigate Diagnoses

University of Missouri researchers found that African American women who have a deep sense of spirituality are more willing to discuss their breast cancer and take measures to prevent a relapse. There was no such correlation for white women with the disease.

On yesterday's LIME homepage the following article appeared on stress.  It indicated that a higher percentage of black people used religion to deal with stress instead of binging on food, drink etc.  This article continues to point out that spirituality among blacks is something that continues to help them out with regards to their health.  It gives us reason to think about what role religion and spirituality can play in our lives.
