Yes, giving IS very rewarding but also VERY powerful. We only use 10% of our brain (and sometimes not even that some days, ha, ha...) and we DO NOT know much about metaphysics yet. BUT WHAT I KNOW (and my experience in five countries in disciplines/careers/army/firefighting/law/martial Arts/Self Defense/Commerce/telecommunications the past 24 years confirms this: to give, to have compassion DOES make your mind and body more performing, relaxed and your level to solve problems as well as making things happen positively is very heightened...So, giving (love/caring vibes so oscillations that tunes our bodies and environment) IS good anyhow. Also, the smiles, great gestures and love you get back from it cannot be bought! So, we should all do it somehow. Point.
